Owensboro, Ky. -- The next ResponsibleAg Auditor Training Course will be offered June 19-22, 2018, in Owensboro, Ky. Registration is now open, and seats are limited to 24 for the four-day course offered by ResponsibleAg, an industry initiative launched in 2014 to help retail facilities comply with federal environmental, health, safety and security rules for safe handling and storage of fertilizer and agrichemical products.

These online materials will greatly assist agricultural retailers comply with the complex Process Safety Management (PSM) rule and the associated Risk Management Plan (RMP) Program Level 3 obligation.

During the meeting, directors elected Billy Pirkle, Senior Director, Environmental Health and Safety, Crop Production Services, as Chairman of the Board. On March 6, The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) testified before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee at a hearing titled, "Preventing Chemical Threats and Improving Safety: Oversight of the President's Executive Order on Improving Chemical Facility Safety and Security." During the hearing, Crop Production Services Senior Manager of Environment, Health and Safety Billy Pirkle, who testified on TFI's behalf, announced the launch of ResponsibleAg.
