The agricultural industry has been called to action to ensure the safe storage and handling of fertilizer products. ResponsibleAg is an industry-led initiative designed to protect employees, first responders and the general public through an organized program of periodic audits.

At the heart of the ResponsibleAg initiative is the goal of providing accurate and credible audits consistently across the entire group of carefully trained ResponsibleAg credentialed auditors. Each auditor must successfully complete this course initially, as well as annual refresher training to maintain proficiency and certification.

This training course meets the competency-based training requirements required for those who want to perform ResponsibleAg facility audits.

Training will be conducted at a retired agrichemical facility specifically designed and retrofitted for training purposes. Covering three acres, the facility is really one huge "prop" that appears to be an active working farm center with dry and liquid fertilizer, anhydrous ammonia, package and bulk crop protection chemicals, seed and other typical activities one would find at a retail farm center.
